Danica Powell’s practice centers on estate planning, trust administration, and probate litigation for estates, trusts, guardianship and conservatorship matters.
Danica Powell also practices in other areas including commercial litigation, real estate transactions, property disputes, creditor’s rights, and bankruptcy law. She is licensed to practice law in both the State of Michigan and the State of Illinois.
Danica Powell was born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. In 2006, she graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and a minor in Spanish. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from UIC John Marshall Law School in 2009, and began her practice in Chicago, with a focus on commercial litigation and creditors’ rights. After taking advantage of all that Chicago has to offer, in 2014, Danica decided to move her practice to Traverse City.
Danica is an active member of the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association and currently serves as secretary of the Women Lawyers Association. Danica lives in Traverse City with her husband, George, and their children.
