Patrick M. Ellis joined Kuhn Rogers PLC in 2019 as an associate. Pat began his career in Detroit where he worked at the law firm of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, followed by three years at General Motors. At GM, Patrick gained experience in legal, technical, and business matters, working in the office of the general counsel and executive vice president of public policy, where he supported the company’s strategic legal and policy initiatives as well as GM’s product litigation defense practice. Patrick subsequently joined GM’s autonomous vehicles practice group, where he served as general counsel and corporate secretary for Maven, GM’s homegrown car sharing and mobility startup, working in the areas of litigation, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate matters.
Patrick is a product of Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky where he played and captained the school’s NCAA division 1 lacrosse program and graduated cum laude with a degree in economics (2011), followed by Michigan State University College of Law where he served on the Michigan State Law Review and received his Juris Doctor (2014), magna cum laude. Patrick is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, admitted in 2014.
